At Fosters & Paws, Every Dog has a Story

Stories of Resilience: How Your Support Changes Lives

At Fosters & Paws, every dog has a story—and thanks to supporters like you, those stories don’t end in heartbreak. Take Granny, for example. This sweet senior pup came to us over two years ago as a devoted mama with nine puppies. Her little ones all found loving homes, but Granny’s journey took a little longer. For more than two years, she’s been thriving in a foster home, surrounded by love and care while she waits for her forever family. Her story is a testament to our commitment: we never give up on our dogs, no matter how long it takes.

Then there are the pregnant mamas—dogs abandoned and left to fend for themselves on the streets, often still puppies themselves. We’ve seen them scrounging for food, searching for a safe place to give birth, their eyes full of fear and uncertainty. At Fosters & Paws, we step in to provide that safety, offering medical care, nourishment, and a warm place to raise their litters. But the moment we save one, another is waiting. The need is endless, and that’s where you come in. Your support also helps us tackle the tough cases—dogs surrendered due to medical conditions caused by irresponsible breeding. From mobility issues to heart defects, these pups deserve a chance at a happy life, not a death sentence. With every donation, we can provide the surgeries, medications, and ongoing care they need to thrive.

This is why we’re so excited about our First Annual Fundraiser Gala on March 22, 2025, at Camp Pollock in Sacramento. It’s more than a night of entertainment—it’s a lifeline for dogs like Granny, pregnant mamas, and medical cases. With live music, auctions, raffles, and puppies, it’s a celebration of what we can achieve together. Join us, and let’s keep rewriting these stories with happy endings. Your help makes it all possible!
